IMLAUER’s Pichlarn Castle Named a “Leading Golf Course”

We are LEADING!

After nine successful quality tests, we have met the requirements: Following a resolution by the general meeting on November 4, 2026, we have now been admitted to the LEADING GOLF COURSES Austria association and are authorized to use this special designation effective immediately.

We are especially proud of this: We are the first golf course in over ten years to have been accepted on the first try! This success is the result of the collective efforts of many people who have contributed to the development of our course with their knowledge, dedication, and enthusiasm. We extend our heartfelt thanks to all of them.

Dr. Erich Pötsch and Marko Manfred accompanied us during the first few steps of this journey and laid an important foundation. Toni Ortner of Olazabal Design put the project on a professional footing and, through his designs, turned Pichlarn into something special.

Rudi Horn stood by us tirelessly—both in addressing planning issues and during countless hours spent on-site as construction manager. With his experience and dedication, he played a key role in turning the plans into reality.

A big thank you also goes to Rumpl for the course construction and All Golf Services for the irrigation system; their teams did an outstanding job.

We would like to extend a special thank you to our greenkeeping team, led by Daniel Mayer. Together with Erwin Brauchart, who has guided and supported the team with his experience, the condition of our course has been significantly improved. This daily work has made a major contribution to our acceptance.

We’d also like to thank our team at the golf office, especially Franziska, who warmly welcomes our guests and ensures a relaxing golfing experience right from the start.

We look forward to teeing off next year alongside our members and guests on the Leading Golf Course at the Schloss Pichlarn Golf Resort!
