50th Club Championship powered by Hyundai Autohaus Schnitzer

One of the highlights of the tournament year is our club championship. On the first day the participants found excellent weather & course conditions, which was also reflected in the good scores. Johannes Burisch played a par round to finish 3 strokes ahead of youngster Julian Marchel and defending champion Johannes Baltl-Einhauer. In the women’s event, Aurelia Kraupatz-Mühlhans posted a solid 88 to finish 4 strokes ahead of Norma Rieder.
The 2nd day was characterized at the beginning by heavy precipitation and thus very difficult conditions that influenced the players only conditionally in the good game and the new net club champion with a sensational total score of 127 net points Felix Bossanyi confirmed.
The senior club champion was won by our best senior of the last decade Robert Meier with a total score of 154 strokes. The women’s senior club title was won by Brigitte Skalnik with 191 strokes, just one stroke ahead of Norma Rieder.
Julian Marchel, who more than gave a talent test the day before with a 73, was able to celebrate his first youth club championship title with a score of 158 strokes.
Aurelia Kraupatz-Mühlhans celebrated a start-finish victory with a score of 182 strokes and thus her 8th Ladies Club Champion title.
The decision for the men’s club title developed in the course of the 2nd round into a duel between Johannes Burisch and Johannes Baltl – Einhauer. On hole 17, Baltl was able to pull away by one stroke with a holed 5-meter birdie putt. He brought this lead over the finish line with a PAR on the 18. With a total score of 145 strokes, he celebrated his 4th consecutive title and his 13th men’s club championship overall.
