Pichlarn MidAm’s miss the ascent very narrowly

In a perfect condition presented itself the golf course of the golf resort Kremstal as venue of the Austrian MidAm team championship of the division 6 from 24 to 26, June.

Our team led by Neo Captain Christoph Perhab with the players Christian Ruhdorfer, Max Erhart, Richard Pickl, Matthias Luidold and Johannes Baltl – Einhauer celebrated a perfect start into the championship on the first day with a 5:0 against GC Römergolf.

On the 2nd day followed 3,5 : 1,5 victory against GC Schwechat. So everything was set for the showdown for promotion to Division 5.

The GC Wilder Kaiser Elmau was the last hurdle to the possible promotion. Our foursome Christian Ruhdorfer / Max Erhart lost in a high class match on the 18th hole. Kevin Sölkner had to admit defeat to an overpowering opponent. On our side could, on all 3 days outstanding, Matthias Luidold and Johannes Baltl – Einhauer victories. The decision was made in the last duel that Richard Pickl played on our side. Unfortunately, in the truest sense of the word, the “luck of the game” was not on Pichlarn’s side on hole 18 and the match was lost by an extremely narrow margin after a hollywood-ready shot by the player from the Wilder Kaiser.

Our captain and the team will work hard to make up for the promotion in 2023.
